After working in the hotel and restaurant business and in market gardening to make sure we liked it, we were looking for a quiet spot in Auvergne or Corrèze and then, by chance, during a weekend on the island, it became obvious. We were not alone in the project initiated by the municipality, but we were chosen. The last market gardener had left the island 15 years ago, the inhabitants were delighted and above all our daughter integrated very well into her class of 6 pupils! We were looking for this quiet lifestyle, close to the inhabitants... Did you choose to work organically? Yes, out of conviction and reason: the island is a fragile territory that must be preserved. Since the second year we have been growing our own plants and seedlings. Finally, it's also the desire to participate in the island's circular economy. It is an approach that is above all respectful. What is your state of mind? We are happy to live here and grateful to have been so well received. And we have many projects. The first one concerns the 1200 m2 greenhouse that is currently being installed. Secondly, the desire to create a variety of tomato that is typical of the island of Aix, but we'll wait a little longer!
