Built in the 12th century over a much earlier chapel, it is dedicated to Saint-Savinien, patron saint of the parish. He was the 1st bishop of Sens (Yonne) and had his head cut off. His relics are venerated on 19 October. The portal of the building is in the classical Saintonge style with 5 voussoirs, framed by two blind bays. On the 1st floor, three bays with two arches are separated by columns, and two cornices with modillions separate the floors. They show a man with a flask, a woman's head, a singer, an owl with a field mouse and a man with a moustache. Inside, on the left, the chapel of the Virgin is adorned with 14 statues of biblical figures, Saint-Savinien and Saint-Eutrope, the evangelists of Saintonge and patron saint of the diocese. The remarkable Plantagenet-style bell tower (a replica of the bell tower at Buskfast Abbey in England) dates from the 15th century. The watchtower in the south corner served as a lookout tower until the last world war. The blind windows are decorated with trefoil arcatures. Open daily from 9.30am to around 7pm.
