Workshop with exceptional know-how: gold embroidery. Sylvie Deschamps (director), Shédany Samme and the staff invite you to discover this so rare place. Gold embroidery is a tradition dating back to the creation of the Rochefort Arsenal in 1666. In the late 19th century, workshops made dress uniforms here. The "Ateliers du Bégonia d'Or" now produce gold embroidery for Paris fashion houses, prêt-à-porter, and shoemakers, as well as for uniforms and religious garments. Beginners and intermediate courses are given throughout the year, except the last three weeks in August: gold embroidery, household linen, and Lunéville crochet.
