It is a must for anyone who really wants to know the soul of a city whose stones keep intact the imprint of a tumultuous past. Particular emphasis is placed on the 16th and 17th centuries, when La Rochelle was the real capital of the Huguenot party. Handwritten letters, documents and engravings evoke the countries of refuge and the period of Protestantism in hiding (18th century). Guided tour of the museum and the city "In the footsteps of the Protestants in La Rochelle": normal price: 10€.
