Apart from the old wash houses, one in rue de Bagatelle and one in rue de Saint- Pierre, there is a very unusual, 2-level well in rue de Saint Savin Two old washhouses are still visible in Montendre: rue de Saint-Pierre and rue de Bagatelle. A two-storey well (very rare in the region) known as the "puits des Chandelles" is located at the bottom of the Place du Champ de Foire.
