Various vegetables and aromatic plants - St-Xandre Pierre-François, Mickaël, Olivier and Anthony who share their passion for their profession with us It's a big operation... Today, yes, it has been progressive. At the beginning, it was a traditional mixed farming and breeding operation (stopped in the 1970s) which specialised first in parsley, then in beetroot and finally in potatoes. We also took over the land of neighbouring farmers who were retiring and did not want it to be abandoned. At the same time, we offer cooked beetroot. They are roasted in the oven and lose 40% of their weight (60% of water evaporated). They are therefore more concentrated in sugar! Why did you switch to organic farming? In the 2000s, we realised that this type of intensive production was not sustainable. So we started to change our production methods with a lot of trial and error, tests, trials... We had to question everything. What does that mean? Finding solutions to regenerate the soil, using natural fertilisers and rock powder. Little by little, we found a way towards organic, ecological and nutritious agriculture. And today, we can be happy that we have a virtuous and respectful project!
