Description

Saint-Sauvant is located in the Coran Valley, tributary on the right bank of the Charente which crosses the commune from north to south. Saint-Sauvant was crossed from west to east by the old Roman road from Saintes to Lyon, the Agrippa way, which cut the Coran Valley there.
Since 2011, the commune has also belonged to the "Villages de pierres et d'eau" network, a label initiated by the General Council to promote exceptional sites with the particularity of being located at the edge of a stretch of water (sea, river). , pond.).
