Built in the setting of an old barn that has been renovated with taste and passion, offering you independent accommodation that is nonetheless close to your hosts' home, the gîte de la Métairie is a picturesque establishment run by Nathalie and François, both natives of the département.
François, a cowherd and farmer by trade, joins forces with his wife Nathalie, who runs the gîte, to welcome you in good humour and, if necessary, guide you during your stay. For the more curious, your hosts will be delighted to offer you a tour of the farm.
When you stay at the gîte de la Métairie, you'll be halfway between the towns of Cognac and Royan, so you'll be able to discover the department's wide variety of landscapes: green countryside and its rivers, the Atlantic coast and its fine sandy beaches.
