It’s official: this year the tour de France will pass through Charente-Maritime!

The stages of the Tour de France in Charente-Maritime

In order to fight effectively against the spread of the COVID19 epidemic, the organizers of the Tour de France, in agreement with the International Cycling Union, decided to postpone the Tour de France to Saturday 29th August to Sunday 20th September 2020.

Initially scheduled from June 27 to July 19, the Tour de France will take place on the planned route, without change, from Nice to Paris via the Charentes.

Charentes: a great place for cycling

Charentes is a prime cycling destination boasting diverse itineraries and major long-distance cycle paths that will enable you to discover the various facets of the region.
The cycle routes are clearly sign-posted and extremely safe to use. They pass through landscapes exhibiting a kaleidoscope of colours, especially rich in shades of green and blue!
