The Meukow house, founded in 1862, welcomes you in the centre of Cognac for its initiatory and gustatory visit The creation of Meukow dates back to the 19th century. In 1850, Auguste-Christophe and Gustav Meukow, two brothers from Silesia, were sent to France by Tsar Alexander II to supply the Russian Court with Cognac eaux-de-vie. After several trips, they decided to set up a commercial office in the town of Cognac and founded the House A.C. MEUKOW & Co on 1st August 1862. In 1979, Meukow joined the family-owned and independent group Compagnie de Guyenne, founded in 1969 by Michel Coste. From then on, relying on the group's commercial structure, Meukow cognacs have continued to develop and expand their range. Today, the brand is distributed in more than 80 countries.
