By Boat :

Le Passeur (Shuttle Ferry)

This is an electric boat that takes you between the 2 banks of the Vieux Port (Old Port) of La Rochelle on request. Whether it be to get to the new Mediatheque from the Town Centre after arriving at the boarding pontoon by Autoplus Bus, or to get to the town centre from the Ville en Bois or Les Minimes marina, the Passeur Autoplus frees you from all traffic constraints. It operates on request from the embarkation on the Vieux Port side, or simply by calling it from the Ville en Bois, if it is not already at the quay. To make travel even easier, the Passeur Autoplus has access for bikes and wheelchairs.

Le Bus de Mer (Sea Bus)

A regular service between the Vieux Port of La Rochelle and Les Minimes marina (20-minute crossing) lets you discover the many riches of these two districts. To get to the Bus de Mer without any problems of parking, Autoplus provides different services such as bus, bike, taxi or barge, depending on where you park your personal vehicle.

La Rochelle – Ile d’Aix

Departures from April to October give you the opportunity to visit the île d’Aix ,passing by Fort Boyard , with commentaries about the history and current events of the Fort.

La Rochelle – Ile d’Oléron

A return crossing, either direct or via the Ile d’Aix, to discover the ’île d’Oléron,and the occasion to pass just a few cable lengths from Fort Boyard during the crossing. Arrival at Boyardville-Plage opposite Fort Boyard.

Ile d’Oléron – La Rochelle

Crossings from June to September to explore La Rochelle with the option to take in the Ile d’Aix. Arrival at the entrance of the Vieux Port of La Rochelle.

La Rochelle – Ile de Ré

Maritime return crossing to the île de Ré from April to September.

Ile de Ré – La Rochelle

In July and August, coastal boat trip with a view of the ports and harbours of La Pallice, Les Minimes (one of the largest marinas in Europe), and La Rochelle.

In July and August, non-stop departures direct to La Rochelle and arriving on the Sablanceaux beach on the Ile de Ré. Bus shuttle service for Saint Martin de Ré.

Ile d’Oléron – Ile d’Aix

From April to September, boarding is at Boyardville for the Ile d’Aix. The boat passes a few cable lengths from Fort Boyard during the crossing, with commentaries about the history and current events of the Fort.

Bac de Fouras on the île d’Aix

Winter and Summer alike, 365 days a year, the link between Fouras and the Ile d’Aix is maintained by the maritime service of the Ile d’Aix. The crossing takes an average of 30 minutes.

Bac de Royan (shuttle ferry) at the Pointe de Grave

Every day of the year, the ferry-barges from Royan -Le Verdon cross you over the Gironde Estuariyin around thirty minutes. No booking required.
