Discover the commune of St Fraigne off the beaten track Bring a phone if you want to take pictures of the route at the start. Saint Fraigne, when the plant meets the mineral The commune has been involved in a global approach to biodiversity (restoration of wetlands*, planting of hedges and trees, cessation of chemical products, etc.) and conservation of the built heritage (restoration of the washhouse, reconstruction of low stone walls, construction of the covered market, etc.) for many years. The town has developed on both sides of the Aume and the wetlands. The main street emphasises the quality of the stone used for construction. The secondary streets have been progressively developed and planted each year with perennials and bulbs, recovered from the temporary gardens. This walk will offer you a discovery full of contrasts between mineral and vegetal atmospheres. Through Isle Nature, the commune participates in raising awareness of environmental and biodiversity issues among schoolchildren and the general public. Don't hesitate to take a break! *swamps and peaty areas regularly flooded by the overflow of the Aume.
