Before setting off on a tour of the Ruffécois plain, a visit to Villefagnan is a must: discover the logis des tours built in the 15th and 16th centuries, of which only two towers and the entrance porch remain; the rural conservatory of art and popular traditions, the white stone mill, testimony to the milling activity in the 19th century, and the church of St Peter: stop at Saveille to admire the castle with its fortified appearance combined with a renaissance décor and surrounded by a moat. A few turns of the wheel later, in Embourie, do not miss the visit of the Gallo-Roman villa of Les Châteliers.
