Randonnée pédestre Trizay

Hiking in the commune of Trizay in Charente-Maritime (17). Start : Car park at the lake in Trizay ; GPS 45°53'28.0 "N 0°54'57.0 "W - Turn left to reach Les Sorins. Turn right onto the path between the meadows. Take the small road on the right, go straight over the crossroads and continue along the path through the undergrowth. Turn left under the high-voltage power line, then head for and cross (south-west) the clearing where there is a detached house. - Take the track on the left, cross the Lozai wood and continue along the track on the right. After a crossroads, the path veers right then left and reaches Grand-Gaillard. Follow the D117 to the right for 100 m, then fork right onto the small road. - Take the road to the left, cross the D117 to the left (be careful, it's a dangerous road) and continue along the straight path through the undergrowth and then along the edge of the forest. It leaves out L'Essert on the left. Follow the road to the right for 100 m, then the track to the left (north-east). - Take the track on the left towards Trizay. Go straight on, leaving Champigny on your right and, at the crossroads, take the road on your right towards the centre of the village. - Leave the village on the right towards Saint-Hippolyte, then take the Rue de l'Espérance on the left. It heads towards the woods: skirt the edge to the right and continue along the narrow road. Turn left into the Bois des Coudraies. At the end of the wood (with a view of the Abbey), turn right. - Turn right to find the Bois Fleury car park.
