This walk takes you to the heart of the rolling hills of the Gironde, covered in vines and cereals. Mortagne-sur-Gironde has been awarded the "Village de Pierre et d'Eaux" label. Mortagne-sur-Gironde is divided into 2 distinct districts: the old fortified town built on a cliff overlooking the Gironde and the "Rive", the lower part of the town built at the foot of the dead cliff, along the channel. Take the "Chemin de l'Estuaire" from the Mortagne shipyard, at the end of the channel, which follows the estuary through the marshes to the Gironde to discover a sumptuous landscape, especially at sunset.
