This walk takes you to the edge of the forest to discover the burial mounds dating from around 5000 BC. Departure: from the village of Benon follow the direction of Courçon. At the end of the forest and before the first buildings turn right onto a small road. The car park is 300 m away. 1. Instead of entering the forest, first take the gravelled track which runs due east at the edge of the wood. Follow the D 114 to the right for 100 m. 2. Before the water tower, turn right onto a forest track which runs south-west through the forest, cutting across numerous tracks. 3. At the edge of the forest, turn right onto a path that runs parallel to the N11. Before the Benon-Courçon road, take a path that runs through the forest towards Courçon.
