An unusual building in the heart of the Horte forest. In the heart of the Horte forest, the church of the Korssoun monastery is a surprising edifice in pure Russian Byzantine style, consecrated in 1996 and dependent on the Moscow patriarchate. Topped by two silver bulbs, the church, run by nuns, is richly decorated inside with traditional painted icons. There is a permanent exhibition and sale of icons, painted eggs, paintings and jams.
