Eglise Sainte Trinité

The Holy Trinity Church: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 16th centuries. The primitive church had only a nave, a choir and a semi-circular apse. It was given to the abbey of Vendôme in 1040. Today only the apse and the southern crosspiece of the former crossing remain. The church has lost the whole of its nave for several centuries. The southern crossing, built between the 11th and 12th centuries, has retained its pointed barrel vault. The entrance archway of the absidiole now opens onto a chapel built around the 16th century. A 13th century portal was uncovered during the second restoration in 1971 and was reused at the junction of the old nave to serve as the main door of the building. The various restorations carried out between 1963 and 1976 revealed a stone altar.
