When we joined the family farm from Gary, the cultivated surface was already divided between land and vineyards, with only two crops (wheat and sunflower). We have gradually introduced new crops, and now we have about ten. In the same way, we have divided the cereals into long circuits and short circuits for legumes and oilseeds. The cereals go directly to the cooperative, which ensures that the rest is gluten-free. Was growing organic produce an obvious choice? More like a conviction. The vines went organic in 2012 and the land in 2016. We demand respectful agriculture, both for the land and for healthy, balanced and tasty food, a desire shared by many today... Hence the producers' shops? Absolutely, it allows for exchange and contact. When we had a complete range of products, including grape juice, oils and dried vegetables, we quickly started to develop an educational aspect on the farm with visits, cooking workshops, cultural evenings with a farm meal, concert, exhibition... Isn't the word "culture" pretty and interesting? In any case, I like it because it brings together agricultural, culinary and artistic cultures!
