At the entrance to the park, we can admire the emblematic "Tour carrée", a heritage of the past, which was built in 1863 by Frédéric Garnier as his personal museum. One could find there his souvenirs of travels, books... A real family museum! During the bombardment of 14 and 15 April 1945, "days of the liberation of the Royan pocket", the Tower was badly damaged and partly burnt. Nearby, a manor house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries and since 1994 the Town Hall of Vaux-sur-Mer has been installed. The largest lake was built in 1999 to treat rainwater. The pond near the green theatre was created in 2006. These water bodies are connected to each other. Many fishermen use these lakes throughout the year to enjoy fishing. Several species populate the lakes, we find carp, roach, black bass, carcass or perch. The park also has a Théâtre de Verdure which hosts events in the summer.
