Jardins du Parc

Français

Le Parc is a residential area of Royan located in the east of the town, bordering the town of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, from which it is separated by a narrow river, the Riveau de Boube (also known as the "Riveau de Vallières") and the Maisonfort area. The current district is dominated by two monuments: the Emile Zola College and the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, a modernist building constructed in the 1950s. Nearby there is a small public garden with a children's playground, a mini-golf course, a pelota court, an annex of the town hall and a postal agency. The avenue des Semis concentrates most of the shops as well as a covered market.
