Rouillac : boucle locale 27 - boucle B

Cycle the 30-kilometre Boucle 27B in Rouillac, starting from the car park of the Communauté de Communes du Rouillacais. You'll be able to take in the views of the Rouillac countryside at your own pace. You will pass through La Fuie (Rouillac) and Montigné (Val d'Auge). At La Folie (Val d'Auge), discover its covered wash-house built in the 19th century. Continue on past the Logerie dwelling, which houses an art gallery and shop. One of the buildings in this dwelling still has the remains of a corner watchtower on a corbel and a pyramid-roofed well. Along the way, you will pass the church of Saint-Clément in Bonneville (Val d'Auge). This 12th-century Romanesque church has a very slender facade ending in a bell tower pierced by two arches, one of which holds the bell. If the church is open, you can discover 14th-century wall paintings and a wrought-iron pulpit dating from the 18th century, listed in 1941. You will then pass through Montaigon (Rouillac), Gourville and Ferrières (Rouillac). When you reach Le Breuil (Rouillac), take a pretty white path. Just before you reach the crossroads with the D736, don't pass by without stopping in front of the large reinforced concrete distillery built in 1975 by Paul Ricard of Château de Lignères. For many years, it was the largest distillery in Europe. Head towards Grosville and then Le Boitoux. As you make your way down to the centre of Rouillac, you'll be treated to a beautiful view of the Nouère valley and the village of Rouillac, set on a small hill with its terraced houses. Whether in winter, spring, summer or autumn, each season offers splendid colours.
