Francofolies Festival

Français

The Francofolies is the festival of the French-speaking music scene. Every year in July, La Rochelle comes alive with 5 days of concerts at the foot of the Towers. A not-to-be-missed event on the French music scene! The 40th edition! The Francofolies de la Rochelle is a popular, audacious and creative program that has brought together artists from the French-speaking world and festival-goers every summer since its creation in 1985. In addition to the legendary Jean-Louis Foulquier stage, Les Francofolies takes place in ten venues across the city of La Rochelle: from the Jardin Bobinec to the more intimate rooms of La Coursive, not forgetting the Balades Chantées. Here, music is experienced in all its forms with Les Folles Rencontres! Through literary debates, gourmet encounters and unusual testimonials, the festival offers new ways of experiencing, discovering and sharing music, with projects such as Les Francos stories with Disney +, Les balades chantées with the Tourist Office, J'ai la mémoire qui chante and Les Folies littéraires. The Francofolies is also Le Village Francocéan. On the program: concerts on the La Rochelle Océan stage, meetings and workshops to discover, raise awareness and learn as a family! Program and tickets online on the Francofolies website. On July 14, the Francofolies will celebrate the closing of their 40th edition! They'll be concocting a firework display of surprises, each more astonishing than the last. After all, 40 editions are cause for celebration! Come and blow out the 40th candle, I promise you... there'll be plenty of surprises in store.
